John McFadden

I’m John McFadden when I’m not on the Radio you will find me working away in the Ionad Teampall Chroine which keeps me very busy but really enjoyable and plenty of craic. I’m a huge fan of Rally Car Racing and  I have supported Everton Football Club since I was a kid (and get a lot of stick for that one).

Bernie Gallagher

Bernie is our very own music encyclopedia and definitely our go to girl for all things music related. She brings in a host of wonderfully talented guests from around The Rosses keeping our listeners greatly entertained!! Bernie’s talents also extend to the hosting of our Ceol, Caint’s Comhra our Irish Language Programme in Bernard’s absence.

Toni Rae

Originally from Athlone Toni Rae McCarthy puts on an American accent in the belief that it makes her sound more intelligent.  Toni began working in the Rosses Radio over a year ago in an attempt to overcome her obsession with cauliflower. She has successfully replaced every food in her diet with cauliflower  - excluding cauliflower which she has replaced with a sense of her own mortality.  In her spare time, Toni works in a baby seal sanctuary.  There she can be found cradling a baby seal whispering “hey it’s Friday, whose up for some clubbing” before laughing manically and munching on a head of cauliflower. She’s hilarious!!

As a graduate of the school of hard knocks, I’ve learned a lot in my 53 long years here.  My time as a Rodeo Clown in Texas taught me the meaning of ‘tears of a clown’. The days I spent frolicking in the water as a professional mermaid taught me to keep my knees together or the fins won’t fit.  The long hours I committed to my brief ballet career taught me the difference between tights and pantyhose, as a bonus, I’m more limber than I’ve ever been. But despite all of these invaluable lessons, nothing has taught me more than my time here at Rosses Radio. I’ve had the opportunity to be a part of an amazing team of  volunteers and have even recently learned to press the button that turns the mic on and off.  My talking gets gooder and gooder everyday. I am becoming a legend in my own mind, and things are only getting betterer and betterer. As my favoutie author, Dr Seuss, said ‘oh, the places you will go’

Keith is our very own windswept, dancing, cyclist, tie-loathing adventurer and music lover. A student of University College Dublin, Keith likes to read, travel, chat and better understand the world in a ‘Michael Palin’ sort of way. Co-Host on The Morning Show and previously the ‘Ready Go’ Show, he is likely best known for once tumbling from his bicycle while downing a ‘Twist’ Icream.

I’m Beatrice Farrelly and I host the monthly Elvis Specials on Rosses Radio, I’m also president of  The Elvis Rocking in the Hills of Donegal Fan Club (which can be followed on Facebook).  My mantra is that everyone needs a bit of Elvis in their life! If you are interested in becoming a member of the Fan Club you can email me at elvisindonegal@gmail.com
